Meet Civil Engineering Intern Madi Wernke!
Education: Pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Portland (UP). Her interest in civil engineering as a career came from her enjoyment of working on big projects and love for the environment.
Hometown: Auburn, CA. Madi came to Oregon for school because she had a desire to experience a new place and she fell in love with UP during her college search.
Hobbies: Exploring the outdoors in Oregon, baking, running, and attending UP soccer games.
Favorite Memory at 3J: Participating in the office move and enjoying the first Friday at 4 in the new space.
Future: She is looking forward to graduating from UP in May of 2020 and hopes to stay in the pacific northwest after school.
