Week 10: Erosion & Sediment Control
Going full circle, Madi got to spent Week 10 back with the Blue Squad, where she started. This time she got to work with the erosion and sediment control plan for a project. Madi spent her week researching erosion and sediment control while also determining what Clean Water Services (CWS) best practices the site needed and reported her findings on the plan sheet.
One of my favorite tasks this summer was tackling the erosion and sediment control (ESC) plan for a road improvement project. I started by researching CWS best management practices (BMPs) required for erosion and sediment control, determined what BMPs were needed for the project, added them to the ESC plan, and then configured the sheet and callouts for the ESC plan.
