3J Welcomes Intern Brooklynn Goodwin

3J recently welcomed Oregon State University student Brooklynn Goodwin, who is participating in our 2025 Summer Internship program. During her internship, Brooklynn will spend time with different teams to get exposure to a variety of projects, disciplines, and general industry operations.

Brooklynn is excited to gain hands-on, real-world experience that can’t be taught in the classroom. She wants to learn more about the planning, designing, and collaboration it takes to complete a project. In addition, she looks forward to gaining further CAD experience and understanding how the CAD skills taught in the classroom apply to real-world engineering projects.

Brooklynn is majoring in Civil Engineering and will be entering her junior year in the fall. Brooklynn volunteers for the National Oceanic Science Bowl every year. The 2-day event is a ocean science trivia competition held at Oregon State University for high schoolers. She has participated in this competition since she was a freshman in high school and enjoys helping ocean-loving high schoolers get the chance to compete. In her spare time, she enjoys reading horror books, hiking with her dog, and rockhounding.

“(I chose 3J because) the company culture really pops out at you! Just looking through the website I knew I wanted to be a part of such a fun team. In addition, 3J has done many projects for smaller communities, (Cape) Kiwanda (Tourism Master Plan) and Tillamook (County Fairgrounds Strategic Plan) specifically, that I found interesting. It is nice to see a firm that is in the middle of a busy city valuing small communities.”  – Brooklynn Goodwin
