Visualizing Hillsboro’s growth since the 1970s.
3J provided GIS and graphic support to the City of Hillsboro on a project to tell the story of Hillsboro’s growth and development over time. 3J created an ArcGIS StoryMap documenting the growth of Hillsboro since the 1970s. The interactive story includes population and employment data over various decades with embedded maps showing the consequential expansions of the city limits and urban growth boundary. The StoryMap supported the City in its conversations with the local stakeholders and county and state agencies about UGB expansion. The City asked for further support in comparing parcel data for employment opportunities from two different timelines.
