The Clackamas County Fairgrounds has been a proud tradition in the community since 1907. The plan creates new uses for the grounds with the addition of new buildings and updates to guide further decision making.
3J led a team to update the 1996 Clackamas County Fair & Event Center Master Plan to guide site and facility improvements to support activities during the fair and throughout the year. The new master plan includes a Site and Facilities Plan, Business Plan and Marketing Plan.
The consultant team conducted community outreach and facilitated a Technical Advisory Committee of key stakeholders; assessed existing conditions on the site; developed site and facilities alternatives and a preferred alternative; estimated improvement costs and identified potential funding sources and developed a phasing plan for improvements.
The team held many meetings and conducted surveys to understand and capture the community's vision.
The Main Pavilion is the new multi-purpose building which is frequently used for trade shows, banquets, receptions, fundraisers, and weddings, holding a capacity of 400 people.
The Clackamas County Fairground likes to showcase their agriculture through educational activities, healthy competitions, and youth events.
