John Lewis Joins 3J as Senior Program Manager

3J Consulting is pleased to welcome John Lewis, PE, to the team! As Senior Program Manager, John will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, providing oversight on key projects, and working closely with 3J staff as a mentor and resource for public works projects.

John has 35 years of experience and spent the last 20 years of his career working at the City of Oregon City. Most recently he served as the City’s Public Works Director. John was active in many projects throughout the years, including wastewater pump stations, water distribution and wastewater collection facilities, several master plans, and countless capital improvement projects. He oversaw the implementation of the City’s Pavement Management Fee (PMUF), a new funding program for the City’s pavement liability, and he was very involved in the City’s new Engineering and Operations Center which won an American Public Works Association (APWA) Project of the Year award. During his time at the City, John conducted regular community outreach and enjoyed the collaborative problem-solving and teamwork that came with his role.

John graduated from the Oregon Institute of Technology where he studied civil engineering and public works engineering and he is a registered professional engineer in Oregon. John is a very active member of the APWA Oregon Chapter having served in several roles, including President, Treasurer, and Director and he’s a member of the organization’s Scholastic Foundation.  John is also very “optimistic” about his volunteer hours as an Oregon City Optimist Club Member.

In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with family and friends, and particularly having fun with his two-year-old grandson. He also enjoys taking his Golden Retriever Sissy someplace where it’s safe and fitting for her to be off-leash.
