3J Consulting is pleased to welcome Maia Wiseman to the team! In her role as Land Use Planner, she will work primarily on long range planning and community engagement projects.
Maia attended Portland State University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (nonfiction focus) and a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning. While in graduate school, she worked as a server at a beloved Italian restaurant in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood, Gino’s Restaurant and Bar.
Maia interned for one year at Metro on their Community Investments team where she worked on the Community Placemaking Grant and the 82nd Ave Equitable Development Strategy. Among other duties, she wrote articles on past Community Placemaking grantees which showcased the community-based arts and culture work funded by the grant.
In her spare time, Maia enjoys reading (especially historical fiction, fantasy and memoirs), weekends away, gardening, cooking vegan food for her vegan fiancé, going on walks and thrifting.
