3J Earns Corporate Philanthropy Award
3J was recognized by the Portland Business Journal (PBJ) as one of this year’s top philanthropic companies! Each year, PBJ ranks Oregon and Southwest Washington companies by their charitable giving efforts, including monetary donations, pro bono work, and volunteer hours. 3J has made the list five years in a row but this is the first time 3J ranked in the Top 10 in our respective category.
On October 25, 2023, several members of 3J’s executive team attended PBJ’s annual Corporate Philanthropy Awards luncheon, along with nearly 400 local business leaders, to accept the award for “displaying exemplary philanthropic practices”.
3J’s 2022 philanthropic efforts have supported Centro Cultural, Parrott Creek Child and Family Services and With Love.
With Love’s mission is to help foster families change the lives of children ages 0-6 by providing resources that nurture dignity, hope and community. 3J is an official With Love collection site. We have been collecting toys and stocking stuffers for With Love since 2018.
Centro Cultural partners with grocery stores, the Oregon Food Bank and community organizations to offer the Centro Mercado, a market providing culturally specific free food to families and individuals in the community. The 3J team actively volunteers several times a year with Centro Mercado.
Parrott Creek Child and Family Services is supporting youth and families impacted by the juvenile justice and child welfare systems, as well as those struggling with addiction, mental health needs or homelessness. Their approach is to address the various social, economic and health factors that cause trauma to individuals and communities and that lead to reduced access to resources, supports and opportunities. The 3J team is providing land use planning and civil engineering services to Parrott Creek Child and Family Services.
