Civil Engineering Project Manager

Job Summary

In this role, you will work directly with the firm’s senior management staff on various projects. Duties will include preparing contracts and managing the development of plans, reports, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and permit applications for our projects. You will be expected to perform team management, business development, and client management activities while keeping projects performing on time and on budget.

Desired Qualifications

  • Registered Civil Engineer in the State of Oregon.
  • 7+ years of experience with design, contracts, client management, and project management.
  • Clear understanding of the land use entitlement process, community development standards, and engineering design standards for various jurisdictions and agencies in the Portland metro area.
  • Clear understanding of design standards for various jurisdictions and agencies in the Portland metro area, including but not limited to Washington County, Clackamas County, PBOT, or ODOT.
  • Exceptional technical capabilities, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to quickly learn new programs to perform other management tasks.
  • Desire to work hard and influence high quality designs.

Desired experience, skills, and registrations

  • Experience with implementing Low Impact Development (LID) features on public and private projects
  • A diverse background with design experience within Washington County, Clackamas County, PBOT, or ODOT
  • Experience with local agencies is desired, but not required.
  • Registered Civil Engineer in the State of Washington.
