Civil Engineer

Job Summary

In this role, you will work directly for a Team Leader, Project Manager, or Principal on various projects. Duties will include preparing plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and permit applications for residential projects. You will coordinate and communicate directly with reviewing agencies and track all permits, requirements, and schedules as the project progresses. You will also be expected to perform construction administration duties including site visits, construction coordination meetings, and inspections.

Desired Qualifications

  • Registered Civil Engineer in the State of Oregon or ability to obtain within six months.
  • 4+ years design experience with a variety of subdivision, commercial, transportation, and storm water management design projects.
  • Clear understanding of design standards for various jurisdictions and agencies in the Portland metro area, as well as experience in the land use entitlement process.
  • Exceptional technical capabilities, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to quickly learn new programs to perform other design tasks.
  • Desire to work hard and produce high quality designs.

Desired experience, skills, and registrations

  • LEED accreditation
  • Registered Civil Engineer in the State of Washington
  • Experience with implementing Low Impact Development (LID) features on public and private projects
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Infraworks
