3J Consulting is excited to welcome Nathaniel Funtanilla, EI, to our team! As a Civil Designer, Nathaniel will be joining our Tacoma office and will support a range of multidisciplinary projects spanning commercial, residential, and parks and recreation sectors.
Nathaniel earned his Civil Engineering degree from Seattle University, where he also studied abroad at the University of Auckland, and served as Treasurer for the American Society of Civil Engineers chapter — including logistical oversight of the 2025 Steel Bridge Competition. Most recently, he worked as a Lab Technician, performing soils testing in support of the I-405 and SR-520 lane expansion projects.
Outside of work, Nathaniel is a card collector, anime enthusiast, and foodie with a passion for Filipino food. He also stays deeply loyal to the Pokémon Company, so he’ll fit right in as the newest member of 3J’s Pokémon Club.
